We were joined by 12 people + 10 community members. Together with Blue Earth Organization, we planted a total 620 mangrove seedlings at the conservancy of which GLFx Nairobi donated 200 seedlings.
The local community was excited and informed us why we need to continue preserving our mangroves. The local community informed us of the various ways mangroves have helped sustain themselves. The community has a good understanding why mangroves are important; the community has been conserving mangroves for the last 10 years. The community has the desire to continue upscaling mangrove plantation in Mkupe Conservancy.
